Henge to Henge
This journey began as a personal project to support my mental health through photography and one of my other favourite activities, Motorcycling. I completed a solo ride on a 250cc motorbike from Stonehenge to Iceland’s Arctic Henge, tracing lines of myth, stone, and solitude. I rode slowly, avoiding motorways, documenting the landscapes and people I met along the way. The route took me through the UK and mainland Europe to Denmark, then by ferry to the Faroe Islands and on to Iceland.
Through both words and photographs, I explored the connection between ancient myths, solitude, and a shifting European identity in the post-Brexit era. What began as a personal quest became a reflective photo essay, realised through words and images, later published by The Guardian.
