The bursary exists to support artists for whom the cost of a session would otherwise be out of reach. It has been active since June 2024, when I began directing half of all Patreon membership income directly into it. One-off contributions from supporters are added to it too. This is not a fundraising page; the fund is already in use and continues to grow.

The bursary covers up to 50% of the session fee, from a minimum of 30 minutes to a maximum of four hours per applicant per year. It is applied at discretion, on enquiry. For full session fees, see the mentoring page.

The bursary is for artists whose total annual income falls below the living wage, currently £27,000. It is not available in combination with institutional funding.
