Co-Op Membership Community Campaign

Commissioned Work, UK (c. 2016–2019)

For several years I worked as the photographer for the Co-op’s national Membership Community campaign, produced by Tomboy Films. The commission focused on people and stories at the heart of local communities – from small independent projects to larger cooperative initiatives across the UK.

The work aimed to reflect the Co-op’s commitment to inclusion, fairness, and social impact, portraying members, volunteers, and community organisers with honesty and respect. Each assignment offered a window into the power of collective action: how ordinary people come together to make meaningful change in their neighbourhoods.

My role was to translate those values into images; to capture authenticity, warmth, and a sense of belonging that reflected both the diversity and shared humanity of the communities I photographed.
